In reply to <a href="https://tattlingtourist.com/hike-angels-landing/#comment-341">Dave Richards</a>.

Well, not really! :) I never look down and look OUT instead. I hiked to Mooney Falls in the Grand Canyon in October and someone fell over the cliff in the middle of the night. A couple days later, I hiked the Valley of Fire in boots that were not supportive and slippery. I climbed to a high peak and looked down and I think I may have went into a panic attack from looking down! I've never had that happen before. I didn't think I was going to make it out alive. And that trail is a very simple trail compared to my other hikes. Point is- I think I'm still terrified of hikes. I still plan to conquer my fears, wear better shoes, & prepare my mind before the hike! It's all in your head!

This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing your video. Absolutely incredible to watch - you are so brave! The part about 16 minutes when you got to the part without chains was so stressful to watch. I'm also terrified of heights and would love to do this hike (not sure how smart that is!). Did it go any way to curing your fear of heights? Amazing accomplishment, well done!
