It was our first time in Paris for a 24 hour layover. We were looking for a Paris hotel with an Eiffel Tower view. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a room but I still wanted to see the Eiffel Tower light up at night from my room. There was NO way I was going to spend almost $2000 a night for a room with an Eiffel Tower view. Actually, I might have wanted to, but my husband would not have liked it and I value my life! 🙂
After some research, I found Hotel Le Walt which had a view of the Eiffel Tower and was within walking distance. The best part, a room with a view like I wanted was just over $200!
Hotel Le Walt
We took a 40 minute taxi ride from Charles de Gaulle airport to Hotel Le Walt. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by hotel staff. The lobby was very clean and check in was quick and simple.
Our hotel with an Eiffel Tower view.
We used a rather small elevator to make our way up to our room. As soon as we entered the room, I went straight to the window for a view of the Eiffel Tower. I was surprised to find that the window actually opened up for a clear view of almost half of the Eiffel Tower. I was very pleased with the view for the amount we paid.
The room was clean and there was a rather large painting over the bed.
The bathroom had good lighting and there was a window to open, if you so desired.
One of my favorite amenities here is the free smartphone available for use during the stay. It was perfect for use as a smart phone while touring Paris. It also includes free phone calls within Europe and to the United States.
Hotel Le Walt is in a good location.
You can find the best macaroons right across the street from Hotel Le Walt at Lenôtre. There were samples in the hotel lobby that were so delicious that I didn’t mind spending almost 2 Euros a piece for a macaroon!
Hotel Le Walt is located in the heart of the 7th District and is a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. There is a subway less than a block away and it is a road away from the most popular market street in Paris, Rue Cler.
